A little note before you continue on with the letters...

Hey! For all those who have been waiting for me to update for...-whew! 8 weeks! long time! Sorry about that guys!-well I just added the last eight letters from David. I'm going to put the following in all-caps for those who are just kinda scanning -or not even scanning, I'm sure in some cases- this little extra from yours truly. THERE ARE TWO NEW PICTURES AT THE BOTTOM, CHECK THEM OUT. Sorry again for taking so long, I guess I've just been really horrible at being consistent with this since school began, maybe a little before then. Ok, enjoy reading!!!

About the work

Dear Family.
So I received the package from both Jessica and from y'all. THANK YOU! That music is incredibly helpful. Really. I can't thank you all enough for the support you give me and the help that I have received and continue to receive from you and our Father in Heaven.

So I think I'll forgo talking about how we got called at 4 in the morning to go to Yosemite otra ves, and tell you about the people we have been teaching.
This area, the Crows Landing Area (aka. - Newman, Gustine, and Crows Landing) are tons of work. This area is much like setting up a tent when you go out camping. Easy if you know  what you are doing and have proper instruction, not so easy if you don't. Nothing against my trainer/now Zone Leader - Elder Smith, because he truly was a great trainer, but after this I was placed in a situation where I had no training whatsoever except to go by the Spirit. So... with Elder Madsen, I have learned/ RE-learned many of the concepts that I had not fully realized as part of the work until this transfer. Whew!!! It hasn't been easy, but man... it is so satisfying to know that you are doing what the Lord wants us to do here. I remember before the mission hearing about how there would come difficulty and that you would have to work through it... I thought about that and then said, "Cool. Well, that's good to know but... that won't ever happen to me. I'll work SO hard that it just won't be possible!"
Haha... well, let me tell you, the Lord really knows how to humble us so that we understand our own weakness. That has truly been a struggle for me.

Nevertheless, we have been teaching this guy named Jorge who is really an awesome investigator. He is really making a lot of progress. It is great.
The work here is good and keep up those prayers... and sorry about the short emails...

We have to head out to work. Next week will be longer.

Anyway....

Love ya!

Elder Ostler
